  • Front hood latch

Sorry for the many questions, but I guess that is what the forum is for.

How are people latching their hoods? I didn't see any information about it on the videos. Also have you included a rubber stop or something similar?

There is at least three ways I can think of to latch front hood:

    1. As shown on video from K1 - rubber locks at sides.

    2. You can drill hole though and use some kind of streetracerSuperDuper lock

    3. Have a Linear actuator to open and close it and keep closed while travel. Something like this.

I went with combination of option 1 and 3. Main lock and opener is actuator, for long trip or active driving I can put rubber lock for assurance.

As to the rear engine hood there was proposed screw type dzus fasteners

But I don't like the idea opening the hood with screwdriver. Can be used streetracertype lock's - easier to open and close.
But I ended up with just a linear actuator, but no extra locks - rear hood is smaller, better position of actuator bracket.

For rubber stops I used front and rear and it should be regulated definetely.

I am trying to decide. Can you even access #1 with the wheels on?
