  • Seat attachment and adjustment

    Hey all,

How have you attached your seats. Have you used any adjustment rails?

For driver's I used Honda standard adjustable rails (with welded on sheets to bolt into seat)

with some tricky frame bracket to attach to the body. Problem is that driver position in cockpit is not 90 degree to the frame bars under the seats. Orange shows travel geometry of rails.

This gave 20 cm travel back and forth and about 5 cm up when seat travels forward.

Are there actual attachment points in the seat (like the doors) where there are metal plates inside?

There are as far as I recall some notches in the bottom of the seats. There are metal plates in the the bottom part. However seats are carbon fiber and looks very strong and solid to attach anywhere you like. Anyway seat belts would be attached to frame for a more reliable feel.

The CF seats are, simply put, works of art. I have never seen seats that match them in even the most exotic super cars.
