  • Front upper control arm bushing installation

I attempted to press the bushings into my upper control arms and found they seemed to be a bit more than just an "interference fit":

I've sent a request to B-racing to purchase a replacement...

In the meantime, I guess I can experiment on the other side of this broken one and try and perfect a different bushing installation technique.

Kit owners: how did you press in your bushings?

Yikes! Did you use a hydraulic press? Maybe try a vice. Also maybe try removing the paint/powder coating from the inside.

My kit was purchased second hand so they were already installed but I have never seen anybody have issues with these.

I had the identical problem (difficulty pressing in the bushings). You can see in my video @ 8:37 time mark

I ended up going to my work, where they had a serious vice, and got them pressed in all the way.

      Good luck!

        Hello,

I went with polyurethaine bushings, you can find local shop where you can get bushing filled in any size arm and have any size metal insert.
