I agree, great work on the seats. Any chance you could email me the video on them? I'd like to try adding it directly to the forum here. I think this is a super helpful video on this part of the build. Also, would you mind sharing details on what seat rails you used?

This link is for the rails I used. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1
When you say you want the video...videos are huge files, they don't email well. I can try dropbox or something but they also have file size limits.

We have a touchdown ))) Congrats!

Quick question on keyless entry system - does the circuit stays open while the key is inside, or it just open the system until the whole system is switched off? I mean if for example key fails while driving will it shutdown the car/drivetrain?
I have the same keyless, a bit complicated with 3 level access, but anyway figuring out the right safety way.

No worries on the video files then. Keep up the great work. Oh and I got a chuckle out of your touchdown music in the most recent vid. :-P

To start my vehicle it needs both the passive keyless entry in range as well as pressing the start button. Once the car is on, it is no longer looking for the passive keyless entry to remain on for the drivetrain to stay on. If it loses connectivity, it does lock the doors and beep the horn. Still don't want that while I am driving. I have it disabled at the moment, I will need to do some more thinking.

                    • Absolutely incredible how much progress you have made in your garage on such a complicated project and in such a short amount of time! You either have a ton of free time or a ton of dedication, or both. Regardless I applaud your efforts and your electrical engineering ability to design and troubleshoot things in a meticulous way. Super impressive. Well done on hitting such a milestone.

Thanks Friend! It has become a passion, so I do find myself looking for excuses to go into the garage and tinker. Thanks for your support.

Thanks Friend! One day my car might look half as good as yours.

With your dedication I'm sure you will have a very good one.

About the time and excuses - I've read Heynes "kitcar manual" and there is a whole chapter regarding tricks on how to get extra time from family to visit worksite and "be ready to insert a seeshore trip to France into the build cost estimation" I think it is a living think ))
