The S2000 weighs in at 2835 lbs or roughly 1000 lbs more than the attack. Yeh... I'd say it would help counter any torque problems (LOL) If you want a pdf of it, you can hit This S2000 PDF that has all of the specs

Lata!

According to the dictionary, it refers to the buttocks. However, in Britain, it's mainly used to indicate a stupid or contemptible person, as in "You stupid f**king prat!", a phrase which can be freqently heard being exchanged between motorists on Her Majesty's fair highways

Anyway, back on topic!

If it doesn't fit directly, could you fabricate an adapter plate?

I'm not completely familiar with what V6's were used in which Accords for what years . . . . I think that the 4th gen V6 Accords ('90-'93) may have used the C27 engine you're talking about, and anything later than that Honda began using the J30. But I could be mistaken - I never followed them very closely.

However, I have recently been reading that the difference between the V6 Accords & the I4 Accords is pretty significant (on recent Accords, at least). From my (albeit, limited) understanding, Honda basically reworked the entire chassis from the firewall forward on the V6 models. So much so that I'm not aware of anyone who's ever managed to do an I4 --> V6 swap in an Accord. Granted, due to the lack of a manual tranny on the V6, interest in that sort of project is pretty limited.

What this means on the Attack still remains to be seen. It may turn out that there's enough extra space in the Attack engine bay for it to be a moot point. Or it could be that on the older 4th generation models the differences between the 4 & 6 cylinder models weren't nearly as severe. Worst case scenario, it may mean that installing a Honda V6 will require as much (or more) custom fabrication & crossmember relocation as any other V6. I'm still kind of poking around for information, but there's not much interest in the topic - the 4 & 6 cylinder Accord enthusiasts pretty much stick to themselves.

As for your C27, I don't think it's worth it. Even if you already have the engine on hand for no cost, I suspect that with the amount of effort & expense it would require to install it, you could purchase an H22 & drop it in. Even an F22 engine (which would theoretically be included in your donor car already) would be preferable in my opinion. Stock, it'd be almost as quick as the C27, and there's much better support & aftermarket for them.
now 2009... anyone know if the Acura 3.2 V6 {from 2000 onward} and tranny ever been installed in a K1??? I am checking cradle dimensions of a 2004 with the 1990 Accord and are very similar; major mtg. point dimensions on each cradle might be off some, but close .... 225-265 HP stock w/potential of ____???!!!! just starting my build here so looking for an engine option ......

Ok now may be the time to announce we are coming out with one off donor kit again! We are going to use a Honda for the donor just can't make up our minds what years, civic or accord, and all the astuff that goes that way. We want to use a popular model engine but it has to use several parts from the donor also just like the Attack did.

Is this new kit an attack clone? Is there a website I can follow for progress? I think I'll be in the market for a kit in a few years, if not sooner.

~~~~~~~ Going ahead with the V6 conversion approach >>>>> after 2-3 weeks of measuring & searching for frame data for cradle dimension differences between the Accord used on the K1 and the 2003 Acura TL, I have gone ahead with use of the OEM TL cradle to replace the Accord cradle; the front bolt location on both cradles are within 6mm of center [which keeps the axle center lines in the same location as the Accord] and the other bolt locations w/minor mods .... will have to do some "H22-like" frame mods [as the intake plenum on the top-passenger side & the transmission on the lower driver-side is 'a little too close'; I'm not sure how much this engine will 'move' with stock mounts used, or if poly bushings will hold it tighter ] plus a relocated engine side mount ..... going with all TL wiring, ECU & other components too.
finally ...... went ahead with cutting the K1's frame last week to install the complete engine/trans/cradle assembly for a 2003 Acura 3.2 V6 w/'tiptroninc' trans..... required a bigger mod than the H22, but gave me plenty of clearance .... still need to add the top-right engine mount/bushing, but fit under the hood once the body was trial fit. Since this also used the stock Acura cradle, the LC Arms are almost 2 inches further outboard, lessing the need for large spacers!!! I also kept the stock 2003 knuckles/drive axles/hubs {5 bolt}, so got all the upgrade mods at once; no custom axle lengths, 5 lug conversion, etc.! used adjustable camber mounts on the Honda UC Arms to get the alignment adjustment needed too!! see the link above for various pix I shot ....
